While typically used in a pejorative sense, the word "prejudice" simply means "prejudgment." Over time, we all tend to generalize or stereotype individuals or groups based on our own experiences and prevailing social attitudes.

This article addresses the nature of prejudice and offers strategies to teach children how to embrace those who are different.
