Wednesday's Child

Aspire - April 01, 1995

There's a familiar nursery rhyme that describes the personality traits of children based on the day they were born:

Monday's child is fair of face, Tuesday's child is full of grace; Wednesday's child is full of woe, Thursday's child has far to go; Friday's child is loving and giving, Saturday's child works hard for its living; But the child that is born on the Sabbath day Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

Whether or not these are true, it was the woe of Wednesday's child that prompted me to write this article about young girls and boys who can benefit from professional help during or after emotional loss.
