I've been writing ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I love to travel and have visited 17 countries—including several mission trips to Peru with my church and Prison Fellowship—and more than half of the 50 United States. A native Houstonian, I've enjoyed living, writing, and teaching in Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Connecticut, and El Paso, Austin, and San Antonio, Texas.
When I'm not working, you'll find me listening to music, singing with a local chorus, reading a biography, volunteering at our local grief center, planning a weekend excursion, or hiking a nearby trail, contemplating my next project.
